Nature's Top Hero!
Forrest Galante is a person synonymous with nature conservation, wilderness survival and animal expertise. During his youth living in Harare, Zimbabwe, Forrest developed a love and deep connection with nature that set him on his path in life. After political unrest forced his family to move back to California, Forrest's love with the outdoors deepened.
Galante was the public's favorite participant on Discovery Channel's show 'Naked and Afraid' in the winter of 2013, where he spent 21 grueling days in the jungles of Panama. He was considered the leader by the cast, and not only survived, but thrived. This was the public's introduction to the adventurist Forrest Galante. He is now the host of Animal Planet's top show 'Extinct or Alive,' where he utilizes his unique set of skills searching for evidence that animals declared extinct may still be in the wild. Galante considers this the most detrimental television work he has ever been a part of, because it pairs education with conservation and nature with adventure. It's his undeniable dedication to the wild parts of the earth we live on that draws us to this incredible person.
